
If yours is at 5 and you're still freezing or crashing, I wouldn't bother to put it at 3. Same problem, running on XP, high settings no problem what so ever. Also, when your done make sure you quit out of Skyrim and HARD RESET. I'm not really sure where to start, although I've toyed with the idea that If Skyrim freezes, use ctrl+alt+delete and then tab to the “Shut Down” button. If I try to wait it out, the music and sounds keep playing until they reach the end of the loop, after which nothing happens.

SKSE & Memory Patch - Confirmed working via memory blocks log. The game just freezes randomly sometimes 30minutes in, 1 hour in and you can't do anything but alt ctrl del your way out. When I start something that starts using the video card, it starts freezing randomly after some time (let's say 30 minutes +/-). ENBoost - Using it successfully, meaning I Autosaves make load screens longer and they also make the game lag a little bit at times, both of which increase the chances of the game freezing. You can do this with the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Downgrade Patcher mod created by halgari. if it was mod related it would be 100% repeatable in any area a mod edits regardless of time spent on the game.

I've been modding skyrim again recently and started just before the new update, hence why i haven't updated, all was going well I was making sure evverything was compatible, updated and not conflicting.
